About Pilates
Pilates is a low impact, full body approach to movement that focuses on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and posture. Through controlled, intentional exercises, Pilates helps strengthen the deep stabilizing muscles, improve core control, and promote better body awareness and alignment.
By focusing on the quality of movement, Pilates can help improve joint stability, muscular coordination, and overall mobility while reducing unnecessary strain on the body. Whether your goal is to improve posture, support injury recovery, build strength, or simply move with greater ease and confidence, Pilates offers a gentle yet effective approach to improving overall physical function.
We offer both one on one Mat and Reformer Pilates sessions as well as a thorough assessment from a Physiotherapist to identify which areas need to be strengthened to rehabilitate or prevent injury. Together, our Pilates instructor, Danielle Taylor, and your physiotherapist at DMWellness will collaborate on a cohesive strengthening plan using the Pilates method to stabilize, strengthen and mobilize areas of dysfunction in the body that may be causing pain and dysfunction.
Danielle offers 30 minute or 55 minute one on one sessions as well as two person private sessions for both Mat and Reformer.
